I was really looking forward to exploring the Archaeological Park of Xanten, so I chose to stay at Nibelungen Hof. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the modern and family-run atmosphere of the hotel. It has a strong focus on service and comfort, which I really appreciated. The option to book half-board accommodation and enjoy delicious meals at the on-site restaurant was a great perk.
Extractor fan in bathroom didn't work and no English language channels on TV.

We loved staying in this hotel. The central location made it easy to walk to many great restaurants, and the Roman ruins were close by. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The continental breakfast was one of the best we've had.
Don't have any issues at all.

I recently stayed at a hotel in a charming German town that exceeded my expectations in many ways. the location was perfect - right in the centre of the town, allowing easy access to all the attractions and restaurants. Secondly, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Additionally, the rooms were clean and well-maintained, with basic amenities provided for a comfortable stay. Lastly, the breakfast served in the separate building was a delightful start to the day, with a good variety of options available.
All was well and I couldn't fault my stay at this hotel.

Great value for money and friendly staff. The location was perfect, close to shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The breakfast was fantastic, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day.
The rooms were quite basic and outdated. The lack of air conditioning made it difficult to sleep comfortably during the night.

Good value and helpful staff. the room was clean and had a comfortable bed. the breakfast was decent and had a variety of options. the location was perfect for exploring the charming town and nearby attractions.
No air conditioning made for a stuffy room on warm nights. the noise from the church bells and town clock was bothersome at times.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Nibelungen Hof during our recent trip to Xanten. The hotel's central location made it ideal for exploring the town. We were thrilled to find secure bike storage in the large garage, complete with outlets for charging our e-bikes. The continental breakfast was delicious and the attached Italian restaurant served a very enjoyable dinner. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
